Father Peter has served St. Thomas More Parish with honor and distinction for 11 years. Now that he leaves us to take upon himself the Pastorate of St. Francis of Assisi Parish we express our gratitude to God and our affection for him as a priest and as a genuinely kind man.

Fr. Julian Harris and Fr. Alex Vargas bid farewell to a brother, a companion in the ministry and a beloved friend. We wish him Godspeed and every happiness under Heaven.

Congratulations Father Peter T. Truong

My Dear Parishioners of St. Thomas More, Clergy, the Staff Members, Communities, Ministries, Organizations, and Friends.

My heart is filled with gratitude as I say my farewell to each and every one of you before I leave to take the priestly duties that Bishop Gerald Barbarito has entrusted to me to take care of the church of St. Francis of Assisi in Rivera Beach.

It has been a great blessing to share with you a life of faith and worship at St. Thomas More for more than 10 years. The experiences have formed me into who I am now, so that I may do more of what the Lord intended for His Church.

I am personally grateful to Fr. Julian Harris and Fr. Alex Vargas, who have supported me and prepared me for this coming position. It has been a great time, sharing with them priestly life, ministries, and services. They have been my joy, comfort, and strength. In difficult times Fr. Harris and Vargas have stood by me as teachers, brothers, and friends. This unity in priesthood has been the testimony of the gospel message in the life of St. Thomas More parish.

I thank my brother Deacons: Mark Lizardi, Gerald Palermo, and Silvio Menendez for their friendship and affection in serving the people of God at St. Thomas More. In a special way, I am grateful to Deacon William Creswell, who continuosly prays for me and shows me his loving affirmation. I thank God for deceased Deacon George Collins who was a great example for me of faith and love for the Lord.

for the Lord. As I go to St. Francis, I carry with me the heartfelt affection towards all staff members, ministers, teachers, spiritual groups, and ethnic communities. Through them I reached out to the homebound, the sick, the children, and the youth by sharing the joyous events and journeying by their side through their grieving loss and pain.

I thank God for you all; and I thank you. It is through you I experienced the goodness of the Lord.

Please continue to pray for me as the Lord sends me away for his vineyard at St. Francis of Assisi parish.

May the fruits of the Lord we shared continue to nurture us unto the everlasting life, now and forever.

St. Thomas More Church is looking for new members. Participating in divine worship services as a choir member is a sacred responsibility, not to be taken lightly. The music is an integral part of mass and choral music must add to the liturgy, not distract from the prayerful environment of worship. Every hymn, every phrase, every verse of the church service must be rendered clearly and fittingly. This requires singers who are inwardly committed not just to the music, but also, and primarily, to the Faith.

Fathers Day is quickly approaching. HONOR THY FATHER And Remember Him with Prayers and Thanksgivings with an enrollment in the

I had prayed to St. Peregrine in our Meditation Garden about the problem a number of times ( confiding in him my concerns) and my family and friends prayed as well. I feel my prayers to St. Peregrine were answered.

In October 2012 I had a sonogram of my thyroid because nodules that were there were growing and a biopsy done on November 13, 2012 showed that they were 40% cancerous. On February 15, 2013 I had an operation for the removal of the nodules and the doctor removed the entire thyroid as well. The lab tests showed no cancer at all.

The Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach is committed to the safety and protection of all God’s precious children in its care. Victims of abuse are encouraged to contact the Diocesan Victim Assistance coordinator to begin necessary emotional, psychological and spiritual healing.
